** New Recommendation: Market Vectors Steel ETF (NYSE: SLX)
Dear Shadow Stock Traders,
As I promised on Friday, it’s time to pull the trigger on another hot long-term trend. The global infrastructure boom is alive and well after a healthy correction, and I’ve been looking for an entry point into steels for quite a while. US Steel’s (NYSE: X) excellent earnings results this morning confirms that a reversal has indeed taken place.
To put it simply, global infrastructure is one of the main long-term trends you’ll be able to obtain consistently outperforming returns in over the next few years. Supply is trailing demand, and demand keeps growing very strongly-not only in BRICs, but also throughout the developed world. There are global shortages of steel, and it will take at least a couple of years for supply to catch up with current demand growth.
Recommendation: Buy Market Vectors Steel ETF (NYSE: SLX). Very aggressive investors should consider buying the August $97 calls (SLX-HS) for no more than $0.85.
