The US Senate has not only reached a rare major bipartisan agreement on a roughly $1 trillion infrastructure bill, it did so commandingly, passing the legislation 69 to 30.
And what's not to like?
The Senate version of the bill reauthorizes spending on existing federal public-works programs. It also pours an additional $550 billion into water projects, the electrical grid, and safety efforts, among many other projects.
